The ROI Calculator's local storage
The ROI Calculator, hosted at /MMROICalculator/, is a separate application. While you use it, it keeps the state of the form you are filling in using your browser's sessionStorage, so that answers are not lost as you move between steps. This data is stored on your device only and is automatically erased when you close the browser tab. It is not a cookie and it is not used to identify or track you.
Usage events from the ROI Calculator
The ROI Calculator sends anonymous usage events to a server operated by Axiota — for example, that a calculation was completed or a report was generated. They tell us which parts of the tool are actually used, so we can improve it. These events do not carry your name, your email address or the client details you may type into a report, they are not used to build a profile of you, they are never shared with third parties for advertising, and they are kept only for as long as needed to analyse how the tool is used.
No cookie or comparable identifier is stored on your device for this purpose: the events are sent directly and nothing is written to your browser to link one visit to the next.
Why there is no cookie banner
If you came looking for a cookie consent banner, this is the reason there isn't one. Storage that is strictly necessary for a service the visitor has explicitly requested — in this case, holding the ROI Calculator's form state so the tool functions at all — is exempt from prior consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and its national transpositions. Without this storage, the form would empty itself at every step. No banner is shown because no consent is legally required for this use.
Sign-in to the ROI Calculator
Access to the ROI Calculator is protected by HTTP Basic authentication. This sign-in prompt is handled entirely by your browser and does not use cookies to remember your credentials.
How to clear this data
Closing the browser tab clears the ROI Calculator's session storage immediately. You can also clear it manually at any time from your browser's settings, under the option to clear site data or site storage for this domain.
Future changes
If analytics, tracking or any tool that stores non-essential data is ever added to this site, this policy will be updated first, and consent will be requested before that storage is activated.
